Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a small portion of blackberry and apple crumble! Yes made with sugar, yes made with wheat flour, yes there were porridge oats in it too! Hubby made it and I couldn’t resist :bag: Blood sugar before 5.5, after one hour 5.9, after two hours 5.2, after three hours 4.9! Phew got away with that!
Dinner: gammon steak and salad.

Edit for typo

B- 2 scrambled eggs with half a toasted l/c roll.
L- Broccoli and cheddar soup - an odd choice for a hot day but I had 1/2 head broccoli, some h/m bone broth and cream which all needed using up, plus a dried up lump of cheddar. The soup was delicious.
D- a more weather appropriate mixed salad with tuna and h/b egg as the protein. 4 squares Montezuma’s AB and decaf coffee with cream to follow.

It's always weather for a cheesy broccoli soup in my book!

Today will be the third and last day (had a barbecue day with neighbours in between) of my sauerkraut and cauliflower mash. Enough left for two days but tomorrow I'll be at a birthday party and I don't trust it for another day.

Luckily a friend just called to ask if he can pick up his dogs I've been taking care of, so now he's coming for dinner as well, saving me from wasting food. :joyful:

Description and picture of meal taken from parallel thread, posted two days ago, I'm sure it will look very much the same today. :hilarious:
(sauerkraut mixed with cauliflower mash and things like mustard, Branston pickles (I can go wild on it now I finally got my ferry tickets booked for October), a stock cube, a generous knob of butter, and some leftover cream cheese.
Served with rookworst and zuurkoolspek, the latter both traditionally boiled and fried after boiling. :hungry:

Trying to recover from bad diet earlier in week:-
B, 2 poached eggs on pieces of chopped ham.
L, not hungry and would have skipped but find even short term fasting actually raises BS rather than decrease it. Instead had 100g dish watermelon.
D, usual salad red peppers, onion, carrots, beetroot, cherry tomatoes and a pork loin chop. Finally more bloomin' watermelon.
Couple of glasses of Chardonnay and finally to bed with a BS of 5.5 Shame it all goes up a few notches overnight.
