A carvery is a wise choice for diabetics when eating out @RosemaryJackson. Most offer a range of meats and poultry and some include seafood and vegetarian options. The best ones provide steamed or baked vegetable side dishes cooked from fresh seasonal produce.Going for a carvery today with the family. My son and Dil are not staying as long as I thought so I'm going to make the most of my time with them. I'm disappointed but looking forward to a longer time at Christmas. Have a good Sunday all.
I never have the Yorkies or roasties, I will have 1 plain boiled potato and some gravy.A carvery is a wise choice for diabetics when eating out @RosemaryJackson. If new to low-carbing, I'd avoid Yorkshire puds and roasties and go easy with gravy and sauces.
Hi @IanRob and welcome to the thread. That seems quite high for the low-carb forum. I'm not sure if there is a definition of what low-carb is for this thread. But I would imagine it's less that 50g. They sound like nice meals, though.Total carbs today 159g very new to this. Orange juice and tea for breakfast. Chicken and wafer ham with 2 tangerines and one apple for lunch. Steak and dumpling, carrots, peas, cheese cauliflower for dinner. Using carbs and cals app
According to Diabetes UK (the ‘other’ site) low carb is under 130g. Of course it’s all about finding a level that suits you and your diabetes best.Hi @IanRob and welcome to the thread. Makes sense @RosemaryJackson if you can handle a boiled potato as part of a LCHF lunch.I never have the Yorkies or roasties, I will have 1 plain boiled potato and some gravy.
