Sharing yesterday's food as extra special: Brunch 1 avocado, Dinner: usual small container of mixed nuts, this time brazils, hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds, then slow-roast beef small-rib in Guinness and butter with sweet chestnuts (therefore not keto but still low carb) mushrooms, garlic, dash of Lee & Perrins, cabbage, cauliflower and tenderstem broccoli. Today I will braise the bone slowly as a base for lumpy soup. Oh my it was good. Small but exquisite glass of red wine afterwards.
My non diabetic husband is enthusiastic about canned sardines in extra virgin olive oil @IanBish. They're an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, economical and diabetic friendly, plus you can safely eat the bones. For lunch today I had some lovely sardines in extra virgin olive oil, with olives.
