What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Spent the afternoon and evening at a friend’s house, she has type 2 too, so no worries about eating low carb there!
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and slice of toasted Heylo raisin and cinnamon bread.
Dinner: salmon baked with garlic Boursin cheese and cherry tomatoes with sliced courgettes. She said sorry she didn’t serve it up more neatly, she forgot I photographed all my dinners! :joyful:

Breakfast was Greek yoghurt with M&S grain free granola.
Lunch was a beef cheese and sauerkraut sandwich ( low carb bread) and a DGF Crimbo crumble, warm with cream.
Dinner - DD Keto tex Mex casserole, looksa bit of a mess but v tasty. Served with salad, sour cream and guacamole. 4 squares Montezuma’s AB

Breakfast kefir then scrambled eggs
lunch cheese, a few nuts and low carb seeded crackers followed by one square of 90% chocolate
Dinner slow cooked pork casserole served with Brussels sprouts followed by low carb blondie

@mojo37 thank you for doggie compliment - it's our Grandog who's been staying this week but went home late yesterday - he's missed
Breakfast kefir then fried some mushrooms in olive oil and served with fried egg
Lunch cheese, nuts and a few low carb seeded crackers followed by two squares of 90% chocolate
Dinner slow cooked beef brisket served with sprouts and glass of red wine followed by low carb brownie.
 
Over did the carbs today.
Tea
Coffee and cream x 2
Ham and coleslaw
Red Pepper and cream cheese
Pork and roast onion and a few baby carrots.
Yogurt and blueberries

Very late Pub Lunch for MIL‘s 80th: roast lamb dinner, cabbage and peas, roasted celery, parsnip and carrot, one roast potato, half a Yorkshire pudding and mint sauce. This was a kids size dinner! Blood sugar peaked at only 6.2 which I was happy about.
Evening, black coffee with another carb killa bar.

Breakfast Greek yoghurt with N&S grain free granola.
Lunch- cheese, olives, walnuts Montezuma’s AB
Dinner- slow roast hogget shoulder, cauli cheese and cabbage sauteed in butter.
Quite a lot of tea with whole milk drunk today. I buy direct from local farm and I love it but I think the milk is adding just too many carbs. Lacto free milk has half the carbs but it’s produced by Arla which I’m trying to avoid. Maybe time to try black tea again, I’ve failed so times before.

Out all day so skipped lunch - coffee only.
Dinner grabbed a few nuts while dinner finished cooking a Bolognese with a small amount of low carb pasta followed by low carb blondie.

Breakfast: scrambled eggs in low carb toast and marmite.
L- the rest of my roast dinner from yesterday - I wasn’t that hungry so put my unfinished plate in the fridge ( roast hogget, cabbage and cauli cheese) DGF Crimbo crumble and cream.
D- 100% pasture fed beef burger, topped with cheese and bacon, mushroom stuffed with feta cheese, mixed salad. 4 squares Montezuma’s AB

Morning all. I'm having scrambled eggs with cheese today and a tin of salmon at teatime. Trying to make up for yesterday's overload of carbs. Had my Lunch club's Christmas lunch brought home for me and ate the lot! And I'd been so good! I'm trying to remember the saying....'eat to live not live to eat'. Hmmm. That's a lot to remember!
