What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Wasn't planning any breakfast but came down to find freezer door had not shut properly and was defrosting :arghh: had to bin several tubs of icecream (the boy's) , rescue their bread and my low carb bakes. Luckily the meat was still frozen and hopefully the fruit and veg will just affect the texture and not cause any illness.
So breakfast was 2 squares hm lc rhubarb cake
No cwc either as the cream had gone off.

Then ran (walked!l) an errand before going to exercise class followed by herbal tea with friends.
L: 2 egg omelette with a very decent cheddar (Sussex Charmer bought at the food fair a couple of weekends ago, very nice cheese indeed). 1 sausage. A cc chocolate pot

D: pub, ham egg and chips but swapped chips for salad but the salad was titchy. Drank tea.

Off on holidays tomorrow. Packed cheese rollups and cold sausages ready for train. Will take rolls for hubby and a couple of nut bars. What is it about travelling that makes me think I need to eat more than I would at home?

Breakfast: cold pork sausages left over from last night's meal. Tea, coffee. BG too high again and didn't drop when I had the sausages with 15u insulin.
2nd meal: will be salmon with some Mediterranean vegetables.

Edit: Got BG down by mid afternoon to 6.5. That was with a correction dose of 20u. Drastic action, but it worked.

Morning all. Well, I stuck to my guns and didn't go off the rails on my 'cheat' day so it wasn't a cheat day after all. Maybe at my age (85 tomorrow) I'm getting my priorities right? I wouldn't count on it! Today I have had bacon, 2 eggs and toast for bf which will last me till about 4 then maybe egg mayo with cress on my crackers. Have a lovely day all. :)

Breakfast after 10am of 2 rashers back bacon and one fried egg.
Around 2pm had a smoked mackerel fillet with a teasp of butter
5.30pm I tucked into a gammon steak with cauliflower rice sautéed until golden brown in butter.
My treat for the day was Greek yoghurt, cream cheese and teasp of unsweetened cocoa mixed with a dash of keto maple syrup.

That's me done now until 10am tomorrow.

Today's carb content was 13g, but protein and sodium was far too much :sorry: Must try harder!

I don’t know the answer but I do exactly the same!
Hugs for the freezer stuff.

Hope your legs are still bearing up after the furniture shifting and aqua @maglil55
I’ve had a busy sort of day so breakfast seems a long time ago. It was 2 fried eggs topped with grated cheese, melted, and hot sauce.
L- DGF wrap on the run, filled with Turkey breast, salami, Brie and lettuce. DHF Notella brownie.
D- home later than expected and very hungry so quick easy and delicious meal of mince and broccoli fried together in butter, and with an added dash of soy sauce. H/m yoghurt with a few raspberries and seeds.
Forgot ACV and eating veg first today. IMG_2832.jpg

Woke early with another big thunderstorm.

B: a chunk cheddar cheese
11:30 a nut bar
13:00 3 cold sausages , some sliced cheese wrapped round salami with a tiny but of sundried tomato in the middle. A small bottle (glass sized) white wine. Enjoying train travel hic!
18:30 gammon and salad, another cheese roll up.. 2 small glasses red wine. 2 sqs milk chocolate

Happy birthday @RosemaryJackson . Hope you have a great day. You seem by your posts to be far younger than your 85 years. Perhaps, like my father, you are now counting backwards. He reached the age of 65 and decided that his next birthday would be 64, then 63 and so on. When he died, by his reckoning he was 32 (deliberate error on his part - he had counted backwards from 87 and by that reckoning he should have been 43). He was a bit grumpier as he got older, but he was still pretty youthful.

So what is your next birthday going to be?

Hi All
So back to Monday.
Brekkie usual slice LC toast, butter, copious tea.
Lunch was cold plate of egg mayo on assorted leaves.
Supper Bolognese with green beans and lots of grated Parmesan.
Yesterday same brekkie.
Lunch small bit quiche, leaves, cucumber and my first two home grown cherry tomatoes, so proud mum.
Supper was lightly spiced chicken breast and cauli cheese.
Today same brekkie.
Lunch same except for Sainsbury tomato!
Supper will be chicken, chorizo, red pepper and paprika stir fry with cauli rice.
@RosemaryJackson wising you a very happy birthday, enjoy the day.

Tuesday 20 June bed 7.2 FBG 7.1. Youngest went back to school today. He really shouldn't have, but he was insistent. When I collected him in the afternoon, he agreed he still felt 'off'.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with Ploughman's Pate. Benecol dairy free.

L. A bit of crustless quiche. Later, 2 slices of SRSLY fruit loaf with spread.

D. Peri Peri chicken kebabs with red peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and the remains of the tandoori halloumi bites. I did them in the oven this time, on greaseproof, and it worked. They came with a little sachet of West Country Tomato Snap. I've never heard of it before, but it was lovely. Like a tomato relish with a mild underlying curry flavour.
Moretti Zero. CC Little chocolate pot with raspberries.

Wishing you a very happy birthday @RosemaryJackson
