What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Just a quick dip in - Have not actually gotten round to getting a new Swipey on... man this adjustment to working after a year of only working on Britwatch is ... hard!
I have tried to get on with plant based 'meat balls' a small amount of pasta and sauce as a microwave lunch. I have tried, but it's a nope for me for both Sainsbury's own and even Linda McCartney's veggie 'faux-meat-balls' were a resounding nope.

So I found Kokoro (well the girl that is sat next to me came back with sweet chilli chicken the other day) and I am having to get some of that or a midweek treat of Unlucky Fried Kitten (KFC) popcorn chicken...

Anyhoo - have to pick up meds on Monday so will get some new swipes for the new month and hopefully will be back of, at least of a fashion in May...

Keep drawing, pals...
Always good to hear from you Rossington Bear. Shame about the food dilemma but hopefully the money is useful. It will be wonderful to hear from you more regularly. Take care.

Back into painting mood, lots of ideas but I keep forgetting them so have taken to writing and scribbling them down then loose the pieces of paper, bloomin hopeless I am getting. :)

So back to Mountains and another attemp at Cader Idris as my son and son in law are trying to convince me to go and climb it with them, I suspect they just want use of my VW Camper van as a base camp but I am very tempted to have ago.

So here is Cader looking towards Barmouth and in a mist, will finish tomorrow...
A4 watercolour...

Looking very good @Muddy Cyclist

good evening all :)

4.6 today

we were off out early today to take the car to the garage to get a job done before shopping and bin day ;)

The shops were fairly quiet this morning and I scored a really nice piece of beef to roast and some good quality mince so cooking those was my job for the evening :)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@dunelm - interesting socks :D and I'm enjoying your cranes, two handsome pairs today :) I do envy your flexible stroke work.

@Krystyna23040 - hugs for the glue, hopefully the natural oils from your scalp will help the glue detach itself with time :)

@Cumberland - Wispa looks very determined ;)

@Muddy Cyclist - wow, what a gift to come home to :joyful:
A great start to Cader Idris, love the sky and I'm looking forward to the finished picture :)

@gennepher - wonderful dandelion painting, very strong. :joyful:
I hope you have managed to get a good sleep now and that the 5 tentacled furry octopus has forgiven you for his exile ;)

art bit -
more paper and another brush coming my way to try out :sorry: :D

today's painting was me trying just painting rather than doing a drawing first

Thanks @geefull
Yes the furry octopus has forgiven me...finally...
He actually let me sleep last night, but he was intent on curling up by my right ear with his chin on my cheek...fortunately he doesn't have bad breath...

Your painting works very well without drawing. It is not easy with a subject like a rose...

Good morning everyone on another bright start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of burgers and eggs came in at 6.1 this am - greedy boy!

A cousin of mine is camping near Whitby so shot over there on my bike yesterday for a catch up. Not seen her or her husband for well over a year.

@Muddy Cyclist - Cader Idris looking good and @geefull - an excellent painting straight from the brush.

Hope that everyone is still enjoying some good weather. Koffy time.

The crane is brilliant @dunelm
You are very good with the long legged birds...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. I have restarted my plinky plonky lessons this week and have done 40 minutes practice this morning and started thinking about my comment the other day, regarding black and white keys and which comes first, now their are more white keys than black keys, so white must come first, but black keys matter and if you look under the cover on the keys the mechanism is the same, therefore it does not matter, they are all the same, neither are more important than the other.

A 5.1 this morning on that scheming meter of deception and naughtiness.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers I feel a special mention must be made of 2 of our regulars @gennepher and @jjraak .
Gennepher you made me and me's chuckle with your posts regarding your hat.

Jjraak, I have been where you are regarding recovery and proved the advice I was given correct by ignoring it. This advice was " The best time to do nothing is when you feel like doing something, the body will devote it's energy into the recovery process. Professor Ellias the man who wrote the text books on Liver transplantation. "

I feel today would be a good day to remember the stays and avoid the depressing media.
Thank you @alf_Josiah
I am glad you enjoyed the fur hat story...
I hope your day was brilliant!

Morning ..

Steak leak brocolli mushrooms, homemade butter garlic sauce ...delish.
A few beers to sweeten the day

Paid with a 7.2 this morning. Ho hum.

Run out on scooter, no place to go just a ride.
Ended up Southall way.

Popped into a home bargains store,
On way back noticed canal, so took a snap.

Was aware the canal passes over the North circular road, but this seemed a bit more visually dramatic

Have a good day all.
Sunny day here in the Capital.
Edit. Apologies, had to re-edit photo as it cut off railway section.

good evening all :)

4.4 this morning

a sunny morning here after a chilly start so we went over to mum's to take out some of the hedge the frost and wind chill has decimated. We got about half of it done before it clouded over and a hill breeze got up :) pleasant to be able to get out into the fresh air again ;)

got home to discover that , once again, we have no phone. BT had been working down a manhole just further up the street when we went out but had gone when we got home :( Fortunately our internet is working fine

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@dunelm - I'd love to get to Whitby sometime, Yorkshire born and never been to Whitby :bag::hilarious:
Splendid crane painting again, you really have a way of detailing these and I like the hints of colour :)

@jjraak - kudos for your attitude and hope you feel you're progressing well again soon :) That's an interesting and pleasing photo.
mr gee is inclined to agree with @Krystyna23040 - run like h*ll first and give thanks afterwards :D

@lindisfel - lovely show :joyful:

@gennepher - very stern guardian, I wonder the badgers dare ;) your picture has worked well, very textured and I like the foliage, it gives good depth :)
