Good afternoon everyone on a blisteringly cool afternoon here in the dark and dangerous north. 6.0 this a.m. Did you ever knock on doors and run away when you were a child? If so, UPS and Evri are recruiting. The grandchildren had a smashing day yesterday but alas have now departed to the land of homework and preparing for yet another school day. Mrs Miggins has gone to a baby shower - another detestable invention on par with stag/hen weekends, over the top halloween rubbish and expensive children’s birthday parties at expensive venues that compete with all the other parents in the class. Massive humbug to the lot. Yesterday the grandchildren grazed on Korean street food at the strangely named Farmers Market, went swimming (baths, not the sea) and then had a tea party at their aunt’s house. Smashing. Bag is packed ready for the 0555 train to Manchester airport tomorrow and a hopefully uneventful 12 hour journey to France. Art bit - playing with coloured inks. Hope your day has been a balm to any aches and pains.
