Ingredients
To make Date Granola, you'll need:
  • 2 cup Rolled oats (312 g)
  • 1/2 cup Wheat germ (60 g)
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pitted (118 ml) dates softened in
  • 1/4 cup hot water (59 ml)
  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds (30 ml)
  • 3 tbsp Blanched almonds chopped (45 ml)

Method

  • Naturally sweet this granola is also delicious sprinkled over plain nonfat yogurt
  • Preheat oven to 325 F (165C)
  • Combine all ingredients in a shallow baking pan
  • Bake for 15 minutes stirring every 5 minutes
  • Cool and store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze individual portions in zip-lock bags for longer storage
