Ingredients
To make Meat Cakes, you'll need:
  • 1
  • 1/2 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Bulk Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup Minced onion
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Dried sage
  • 1 cup Unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Unprocessed bran

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Mix all ingredients together well
  • Place 1/3 cup (2 oz.) mixture in each of 16 muffin cups
  • Bake at 350F
  • until done about 1 hour
  • Remove from muffin tins
  • Serve hot or cold
  • Note: Nice for a picnic
