To make Mediterranean Fish Soup, you'll need:
  • 4 oz uncooked pastina = (or other small pasta) Nonstick cooking spray as needed
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 can no-salt-added stewed tomatoes (14
  • 1/2 oz)
  • 1 can fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth (14 oz)
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 8 oz firm white-fleshed fish cut
  • 1" pieces
  • 3 oz small shrimp peeled deveined

Method

  • Cook pasta according to package directions omitting salt
  • Drain and set aside.
