Ingredients
To make Padre's Country Style Ribs, you'll need:
  • 2 qt water
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp whole star anise
  • 1 lb country-style pork ribs individually cut
  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 cup cider vinegar

Method

  • In a large pot bring the water to a boil
  • Add the cinnamon nutmeg star anise and pork ribs
  • Bring to a boil again then reduce the heat to a simmer
  • Simmer the ribs for 30 minutes or until done.
