To make Pickled Shrimp, you'll need:
  • 1/4 cup Crab Boil seasoning = (available in most supermarket fish departments)
  • 2
  • 1/2 lb small shrimp shelled deveined
  • 3/4 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp celery seeds
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 large onion thinly sliced
  • 3 large bay leaves

Method

  • In a large kettle bring 6 cups water to a boil; add the Crab Boil
  • Simmer for 10 minutes
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until shrimp turn pink and are translucent throughout (cut one to test)
  • Drain well.
