To make Southern-Style Green Beans, you'll need:
  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tsp corn oil
  • 2 reduced-sodium beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/4 cup finely-diced onion
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Method

  • Remove strings from green beans then break beans into bite-sized pieces
  • Wash beans and place in 2-quart pan
  • Add water oil bouillon cubes and onion
  • Bring to a simmer.
