To make Spaghetti With Marinara Sauce, you'll need:
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can no-salt-added tomato sauce - (16 oz)
  • 1 can tomato paste - (6 oz)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp dried oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp dried marjoram leaves
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
  • 8 oz uncooked spaghetti cooked drained and kept hot

Method

  • Heat oil in large saucepan
  • Add onion and garlic
  • Cook and stir 5 minutes or until onion is tender
  • Add water tomato sauce tomato paste bay leaves oregano basil marjoram honey and pepper
  • Bring to a boil stirring occasionally
  • Reduce heat; simmer 1 hour stirring occasionally.
