What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Lunch today was a softer sourdough red salmon sandwich. Tea was a battered haddock fillet with mushrooms and black Dahl (never had that before, it was quite nice).

Your pics make me hear my Food and Nutrition teacher from school saying “but where is the colour in your food? You eat with your eyes before tasting it!”

Away for a few days so dinner pic only, at a local pub. Cheese burger, just ate quarter of the bun, unfortunately took half the cheese off removing the top half of the bun. Coleslaw was very nice, had a lemony twist. Small ration of chips. Mayo looked split and wasn’t nice so left it!

Small ration of chips.
Weren't you the exactly 6 (or was it 7?) chips kind of gal? What happened?
I must admit they are rather short chips, are you now measuring the total length of chip instead?

I had the same meal as yesterday on the bridge: A few slices of amazing but eye-watering spicy meatloaf and cauliflower with grated cheese, both work well reheated in the microwave at work. :)

I was really surprised to see blackberries so early. They were really sweet and juicy. Maybe it’s all the rain we had earlier in the year?
Wonderful that you have tomatoes already but shame about the raspberries, my favourites.
Found Lots of unripe blackberries on the Coast path but none ripe. Back home now have found a single ripe one. Luckily I still have a couple of kilos frozen from last year.
Fingers crossed they do fruit well this year

That looks like my kind of meal! Did you make the meatloaf?

Yes, I did. I find it a very practical food to bring to the bridge, reheats very well and a small pack (300 gr) of minced meat plus lots of onion and other things makes enough for 4 days. (Or 3 days and 3 happy dogs). :)

I’ve taken mince out of the freezer for tomorrow and my neighbour has given me some chillis so I reckon it’s meatloaf for me tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration.

B- tried to make a pancake with cottage cheese, an egg, a spoonful of almond flour and dash of vanilla. Sadly it stuck to the bottom of my pan so looked a mess. Covered with blueberries and cream and it tasted good.
L- Schneiderbrot protein bread topped with cream cheese, beef and sauerkraut.
D- Meatloaf, cauli cheese and grilled cherry toms ( many thanks for meal inspiration @Antje77 ). Followed by raspberries and cream.
Friday night treat of a can of Tennants Light low carb lager

Rushed breakfast- 1 slice of corned beef on 1 slice of cheese.

Dinner: h/m moussaka with chopped mixed salad. DGF cake and a handful of blackberries I picked today. I was surprised they were ripe already, has anyone else noticed them? ( I’m in Cornwall)
