What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

56A760CB-B1C8-425F-924D-DDCD0ED547C3.jpeg @DJC3 and @jayney27 , I love both the phd and carb killa bars, I don’t bother with Adonis bars any more these are so much nicer! However my favourite phd flavour raspberry is out of stock everywhere :(

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: roast chicken, one tiny roast potato, mixed veg followed by SF blackcurrant jelly with cream, LC chocolate granola and a chopped up Hotel Chocolat 100% button.
Dinner: cold meat, cheese and salad buffet followed by (yes you've guessed it) one Jaffa cake!

@jayney27 Thanks for the Carb Killer bar tips - I’ll take a look in H&B
@shelley262 the apple was worth it. Garden ones aren’t a sweet as the imported shop ones I don’t think so maybe not such an impact on bgs.
Not sure what to do with all the tomatoes though - there are tons.
I forgot to add that Ive done my Tripadvisor review for Fri night!

Now then, if you had a dehydrator, you could do "sun dried" tomatoes..........

Actually, you could do tomato soup: https://twosleevers.com/indian-coconut-tomato-soup/ , using the cauldron. There are loads of LC and keto recipes, and you could freestyle your pot method, based on the twosleevers recipe.

Oooh thanks!
(I’m absolutely definitely not buying a dehydrator though...)

Sounds nice @pollensa Do you make the keto seed crackers yourself?

Yes, yummie, I make seed crackers from super keto recipe www.dietdoctor.com I attach links below of all the breads and crackers I make from their website, all work very well and delicious. The only thing I add over and above any of the ingredients is fresh finely chopped garlic. The Seed cracker recipe is in the links below. You may like to explore and try, and happy cooking in the kitchen. Your friends will love them too!! Seed Crackers keep for up to 3 weeks in an air tight container.

Ps keto flatbread med. I double up on the recipe. I cut them into squares, "freeze" them, and when required i.e. breakie flatbread with avocado/tom, I just pop a couple into the toaster to crispen them up. Dont feel guilty eating the flatbread as I use cocoflour. Pysillum husk can be bought at any health store and last long time, ensure you get the 0 or 0.1 carbs brand.

Have a beautiful day. Mallorca

@Rachox . That looks sooooooooooo divine, you cruel women you.:hilarious:. Meaning that in a very playful way...yummy...To think i have never had a sweet tooth...hmmmmm:p

I make a small portion and eat it with a couple of chopped up strawberries and cream. I eat breakfast around 8am, then don’t eat lunch til getting on for 2pm. I feel just comfortably full during the morning. I wonder if you’ve over cooked the ‘porridge’, I heat it really gently and stir it all the time. It can go quite dry and solid if you cook it too much?
No, it was a nice runny consistency. I think it finished cooking in my innards.:(

Hi all.

In direct answer to the thread title, ‘way too much’. Seems that 2 days of eating a bit less than usual coupled with prodigious amounts of walking = hungry day!

Breakfast - gave in to temptation on the train and took advantage of the free breakfast. Tucked into the world’s smallest portion of smoked salmon and scrambled egg.

Lunch - Coop chorizo and Gouda rollitos, bag of pork crunch, 30g almonds and 3 Hotel Chocolat 85% batons

Dinner - small fathead pizza with pepperoni topping followed by small portion of clotted cream mixed with almond butter.

In between - more almonds and more Hotel Chocolat 85% batons.

@Goonergal So let me get this right. Gal does about 37K steps and fuels recovery with C1800K cals and max 25 gms carbs? Way too much she wails - in the old days we called that humblebragging:angelic::angelic:

Let’s add about 1000 calories and 5g carbs to that! I know, I’m also a pedant!
Ok I just took a wild guess and am surprised I was that close. The actual amount is largely irrelevant compared to the issue of whether you were overdrawn at the cals and carbs bank and did you enjoy it?

Definitely overdrawn on the carbs front - cals probably too, but pay far less attention to that on a one-off occasion. Enjoyed most of it - some of the chocolate batons felt more like gratuitous eating than feeding hunger, so I guess that’s behind my opening statement.
