Ingredients
To make Chicken Gyoza, you'll need:
- 300g minced chicken
- 75g white cabbage, shredded
- 1 spring onion, finely sliced
- 2 tsp. ginger, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Stevia
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 40 gyoza wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 200ml water
Method
- Place the minced chicken, cabbage, spring onion, ginger, garlic, salt, Stevia, and sesame oil in a bowl and mix well.
- Put a heaped teaspoon of chicken mixture in the middle of each gyoza wrapper. Brush the edges with water.
- Pleat the edge of each gyoza wrapper four times and fold to enclose the filling.
- Pour some vegetable oils in a wok and place the wok over a high heat.
- When the oil is hot, add the gyozas and fry for 2-3 minutes, until their bases are golden brown. Then, remove them from the wok and place them to one side.
- Add 200ml of water to the wok. When the water is hot, lower the heat.
- Cover the gyozas with a lid, and steam them for 3 minutes.
- Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice!
