To make Chocolate Nut Bars, you'll need:
  • Butter for melting 
  • 120g cocoa powder 
  • 115g unsalted butter 
  • 125g almond butter 
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract 
  • Pinch of sea salt 
  • 170g agave nectar 
  • 85g chopped almonds

Method

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over a low heat. 
  • Mix in cocoa powder, unsalted butter, almond butter, vanilla extract, sea salt, and agave nectar. 
  • Stir constantly until you get a thick texture. 
  • Stir the chocolate mixture rapidly for another thirty seconds, being careful not overcook; the mixture only needs to be stirred for a short time! 
  • Remove the pan from the heat, then stir in the chopped almonds. 
  • Line a square baking tin with baking parchment. 
  • While the mixture is still warm, spread it smoothly over the baking parchment. 
  • Leave the mixture to stand until firm, then refrigerate for at least an hour. 
  • The chocolate nut bars are now ready to serve!
