To make Fried Green Tomatoes, you'll need:
  • 4 firm green tomatoes
  • 1 cup cornmeal Salt (optional) to taste freshly-ground black pepper (optional) to taste
  • 3 tbsp canola oil

Method

  • Wash the tomatoes remove the stems and slice each tomato into 4 thick slices
  • Season the cornmeal with salt and pepper.
