To make Green Beans With Tomatoes And Oregano, you'll need:
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups green beans trimmed and cut into
  • 1" lengths
  • 1/4 cup low-fat low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 medium tomato seeded diced
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh oregano
  • 1 tbsp minced parsley Salt to taste Freshly-ground black pepper to taste

Method

  • Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat
  • Add the onion and garlic and saute for 3 minutes
  • Add the green beans and broth
  • Cover and steam for 3 to 4 minutes.
