Ingredients
To make Penne Carbonara, you'll need:
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 5 oz Canadian bacon
  • 1 can evaporated skim milk - (12 oz)
  • 1/2 cup low-fat sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 6 cups cooked penne pasta
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh basil

Method

  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
  • Add the garlic and onion and saute for 4 minutes
  • Add the bacon and saute until the bacon is crisp about 4 minutes
  • Crumble the bacon.
