To make Spiced Apple Rings-1, you'll need:
  • 6 medium Apples firm Sugar substitute to equal
  • 1
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Sticks cinnamon
  • 3 Whole cloves
  • 1
  • 1/2 cup Cranberry juice unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice

Method

  • Wash and core apples; slice unpeeled into thick slices
  • Place in flat pan
  • Combine remaining ingredients and boil 5 minutes
  • Reserve 1/4 cup juice mixture and set aside
  • Pour remaining juice mixture over apple slices
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples slices appear transparent; baste occasionally with the 1/4 cup juice mixture
  • Serve Hot or Cold as a garnish for your Salad
