  • 1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
  • 1 can no-salt-added stewed tomatoes (14
  • 1/2 oz) undrain
  • 1 can reduced-sodium chicken broth - (14 oz)
  • 1 can cannellini beans - (16 oz) rinsed drained Hot pepper sauce (optional)

Method

  • Cut off and reserve 1/4 cup chopped feathery fennel tops
  • Chop bulb into 1/2-inch pieces
  • Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat
  • Add chopped fennel bulb; cook 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
