Leading UK diabetes charity, Diabetes UK, have announced a new initiative from the Diabetes Research Network. The proposed plan will allow people with diabetes the opportunity to be more involved in research.
Finding better treatments and perhaps and eventual cure for diabetes is a matter of constant scientific research. New ground is being broken in diabetes research all the time, and many diabetics are involved in studies.
Currently, the DRN is seeking people with diabetes who are keen to get involved in research trials – be it as a subject, or providing feedback and patient information. Furthermore, the DRN is seeking patient advocates that have been affected by diabetes and wish to share their experience.
