Abbott Diabetes Care, the major diabetes diagnostics and management tools company, have released a fresh new product to market. Called the FreeStyle Lite blood glucose monitoring system, it exhibits new features that are easier to use and more effective than ever before, when it comes to self-management for diabetics .
The Food and Drug Administration approved the system for use. The FreeStyle Lite has an innovative automatic calibration feature that means a manual coding strip is unnecessary. The FreeStyle Lite is easy to use and lets people test for diabetes quickly and easily.
Jane Seley, an American diabetes nurse, was quoted as saying: “FreeStyle Lite is a welcome new tool for diabetes self-management. The small sample size and automatic calibration makes it easier for patients to test quickly, comfortably and accurately.”
The senior vice president of Diabetes Care Operations at Abbott, Chip Hance, reportedly commented: “FreeStyle Lite, Abbott’s newest blood glucose meter, exemplifies Abbott’s innovative approach to blood glucose testing and our commitment to making diabetes-related technology easier to use for people with diabetes.”
