Next week is Diabetes Week . Running from June 14th-20th, the aim of this international diabetes event is to raise awareness about diabetes . Diabetes Week is celebrated with a series of events around the world.
To mark Diabetes Week this year, Milton Keynes NHS is launching a new online portal for people to access tailored support and advice . The website is a one-stop information portal that is designed to help diabetes sufferers answer diabetes questions.
The aim of the site is to provide reassurance and advice on managing the condition whilst living a normal life. A Consultant in Public Health, Dr. Marianne Vinso, reportedly commented: “The new website for people with diabetes is an exciting new development. I strongly encourage local people with diabetes to visit the website to gain a wealth of information about how they can manage their condition and details of local support groups.”
