According to diabetes technology news today, the pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis has launched an iPhone application called GoMeals. The App will help people with diabetes to make the healthiest choices of food when planning their diabetes diet .
The food tracking software is powered by a company called CalorieKing, who provide nutritional content of any food item sold in grocery stores, as well as meals and snacks on restaurant menus. The database contains over 25,000 foods and 200 US restaurant menus.
The app contains many features that will be useful for people with diabetes . The app is one of the first major diabetes iphone releases. WaveSense, launched by AgaMatrix in August this year, helps to track and manage glucose, food and medical data using the iphone.
