Deadly diabetes complication killed troubled heiress

According to diabetes news, a complication of diabetes killed a troubled heiress, possibly because she had not adhered to a diabetes medication regime.
Casey Johnso, the daughter of Woody Johnson (of Johnson and Johnson) died of diabetic ketoacidosis, according to Los Angeles County Coroner. The heiress, who was aged just thirty, developed dangerously high blood glucose levels due to a lack of insulin in her body.
Casey was thought to have slipped into a diabetic coma before passing away in LA on January 4th. Diabetic Ketoacidosis is one of the least well-known diabetes complications, but also one of the most deadly. In some cases, when a diabetic coma is quickly diagnosed and treated, resuscitation is possible.
