I would like to know how to make giving insulin to my toddler easier. He always runs away when I call him to give him insulin and he has Type 1 diabetes so he must have insulin every time he eats. He hates needles, and I have trouble measuring out the units of insulin in the vial, I just want to make it less painful for my little boy. He has only been diagnosed for two weeks, and most of that was spent in PICU as he was in fully developed DKA, please help if you can, he has to do this for his whole life now. He is only 2.

I am having trouble using my Lilly Luxura pen with Humulin insulin. This is because I have artritis in both my wrists and this causes great problems pushing the plunger down. I wonder if any else has this trouble and how have they over come it.
