The Clever Chek blood glucose meter is a codeless, talking meter that tells you your result – it actually talks to you. Clever Chek is aimed at people with diabetes who are visually impaired, young or elderly.

The Clever Chek meter talks you through each process of your blood sugar test until it is complete.

Everything is voice-described

All other functions and settings are spoken too, and it’s a codeless meter for ease of use – no need to code test strips.

It comes with a plastic adaptor for alternative site testing (AST), has a 450-test memory facility with date and time, can calculate average readings for:

  • 7 days
  • 14 days
  • 21 days
  • 28 days
  • 60 days and
  • 90 days

BBI Healthcare have released a statement requesting the recall of their Clever Chek blood glucose meter and has now been withdrawn.

Available free to people with diabetes who are blind

The meter is available at no charge to blind and partially sighted diabetics from the RNIB website.
