The IME-DC blood glucose test meter aims to be extremely easy to use, and in fact features just one button.
By modern standards, the IME-DC requires a large sample of blood to be applied and takes a relatively long time to produce a reading.
The IME-DC blood glucose meter uses IME-DC blood test strips.
SIP-IN technology
The IME-DC blood glucose monitor uses SIP-IN Technology, which is designed to make applying blood to the strip fail-safe, to minimise the chance of having failed tests due to not enough blood being put on the strip.
The IME-DC allows alternate site blood glucose testing
2µl blood sample and 100-test memory
Blood tests operate on a 2 microlitres blood blood sample and take 10 seconds before being shown on a large, easy-to-read LCD screen.
Up to 100 tests are stored in the memory. The menu features prompts with symbols, so you can set yourself reminders to do tests at certain times.
The test range measured is 1.1 to 33.3 mmol / L.
Coding is done via a chip and the meter features uses a series automatic system checks such as for temperature correction and a ‘sleep mode’ after one minute of inaction.
