Diabetes Digital Media (DDM) has been named the national ‘Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year’ winners at the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Having collected the regional Midlands award in November, DDM advanced through the nationwide awards which were presented in London on Thursday 24 January.
In a tweet on Thursday night, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards announced:

The National Winners’ Evening saw 12 category winners crowned from the pool of regional winners. Now in its sixth year, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the creativity and dedication of entrepreneurs across the UK.
This award continues a wonderful 2019 so far for DDM. Earlier this month, DDM’s award-winning Low Carb Program was approved into the NHS apps library, while a new partnership with Ascensia will help to support GPs and healthcare professionals in being able to offer the Low Carb Program on the NHS.
The Low Carb Program has now received over 350,000 registrations and is helping people with type 2 diabetes to put the condition into remission. The national ‘Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year’ award also recognises DDM’s Diabetes Forum, where more than 280,000 people with and without diabetes support each other.
Alison Rose, deputy CEO of Royal Bank of Scotland Holdings and CEO of NatWest Commercial &Private Banking, said: “NatWest is proud to support the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, celebrating another year of amazing achievements for entrepreneurs and start-ups from every corner of the country.
“Supporting entrepreneurs is a key priority for NatWest and our dedicated programme of free mentoring, insight and bespoke coaching, is specifically designed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs who want to grow and scale their business. Congratulations to everyone who has made it to tonight’s National Winners Evening.”
