According to recent reports in the diabetes news, erectile dysfunction (ED) could be an early warning of heart disease and diabetes . Two recent studies show that ED is directly related to diabetes .
Erectile Dysfunction is a common problem, affecting over 50% of men aged between 40 and 70. A cardiologist at Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, Robert Kloner, reportedly commented: “Symptoms of erectile dysfunction seem to occur three to four years before symptoms of coronary artery disease.”
Two studies published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology found that men with diabetes and erectile dysfunction also face greater cardiovascular risks. The message, the research teams concluded, is to get to the doctor if you are suffering from erectile dysfunction.
Avoiding the doctor, even for a short time, could make the situation much more serious and increase risk.
