The Accu-Chek Aviva is a blood glucose meter with a user-friendly design. Lightweight and slender, the Accu-Chek Aviva is a discreet and comfortable choice for people with diabetes who wish to check blood glucose levels.

Now there is a smaller successor to the Accu-Chek Aviva, the Accu-Chek Aviva Nano.

The Accu-Chek Aviva has easy-to-hold rubber grips, and requires just a tiny blood sample to offer an accurate reading. Accu-Chek Aviva test strips are used to return a fast and reliable blood glucose level.

Aviva Test Reminders

This blood glucose meter also includes test reminders – the patient can set four separate reminders for different times to aid in remembering when to test blood glucose.

The Accu-Chek Aviva meter also includes a battery backup – this is a small additional battery that holds time and memory for 72 hours if the battery is removed or runs out of power.

Aviva Lancets

Lancets are housed in a convenient 6 lancet drum, therefore changing lancets is both simple and comfortable, with less pain and greater ease of use. Guided lancet movement stops needle oscillation and tissue rupture, and the lancets feature high-speed penetration and active needle retraction to minimise pain.

I have had my Aviva for a few years but during the past four days every time I use it it shows 'error'. What should I do?

Had this meter for several years. A good basic meter, sturdy and clear readings, although there is no backlight. Cheap and cheerful. Ability to download readings to free software on PC via an IR device is good although it often needs to be held about an inch from the devoce for it to register.
